Turn to Tulsa City-County Library’s newest service when you are stumped by math equations, compound modifiers and language translations.
Homework Help Now! provides online access to expert instruction, peer-to-peer collaboration and self-study. The service is ideal for kindergarteners through adult learners. All you need is a library card to connect from home, school or any TCCL location.
Live tutors are available everyday, 2-11 p.m., for one-on-one assistance in math, science, social studies, English, writing assistance, reading comprehension, English literature and Spanish. Live sessions can be conducted in English or Spanish. Students also have 24-hour access to a test center offering practice tests for all grade levels in math, reading, and writing including the SAT, ACT and GED.
Whether you are going back to school, switching jobs or brushing up on an academic skill, the adult learning center is the place to stop. You can achieve your learning and career goals by utilizing the one-on-one academic coaching to prepare for the U.S. citizenship test, writing a résumé and skills building.
“For the student who is stuck on a particular word problem or for the student who needs help identifying the theme in a piece of literature, these tutors are trained to help learn concepts, not just provide answers,” said Ellen Cummings, TCCL Research Center manager. “We are excited to add Homework Help Now! to our cadre of resources to help the students of Tulsa County succeed.”
Tutors are trained and certified by Brainfuse, and possess a four-year degree with prior teaching and tutoring experience. Each subject features tutors specializing in the core academic disciplines.
Homework Help Now! is funded by the Tulsa Library Trust.
