WHAT IS THE WARRIOR BOOK EXCHANGE?
The Warrior Book Exchange was created to give students a place
to trade their gently used books for new adventures in reading.
Originally funded by a grant from the Glenpool Foundation for
Academic Excellence, the book exchange is part of
Glenpool Middle School's on-going mission to create a culture
of literacy in our community.
The exchange began by purchasing one new book for each
incoming 6th grader. The students were given a catalog to
choose their new books from so that each student would receive
a book they really wanted. Next, we introduced the exchange,
which is located in the middle school lobby. Students who bring
a book in gently-used condition may trade that book for a different title.
The book now belongs to that student. Should the student want
to return the book to trade for another title, they are welcome to do so.
Our goal is to continue and expand the book exchange program
through the purchase of both new and used books.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?

students to become life-long readers, the Warrior Book Exchange needs
