Our own Rachel Welch has received the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST)! We're so proud of her, and it's fantastic that she's getting national recognition. The PAEMST is the highest recognition a K-12 science, technology, engineering, or mathematics teacher may receive for outstanding teaching in the US. She has dramatically impacted her students, this district, and every educator she has worked with. Congratulations Rachel Welch! The District's Elementary Teacher of the Month is Rachel Welch. Ms. Welch teaches in our STEM program. A note from her colleagues: Rachel is always willing to take on any project and help in any way possible. She usually stays behind the scenes but does so much to provide support. She deserves some recognition for all of her endurance and fortitude. We always love it when she comes for STEM down at the lower for a nice break. The kids love to have that time, too, and always appreciate "Ms. Stem."
