The buses are running their routes at this time. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we navigate this storm.

We are delaying buses even further as the storm has expanded. We do not have an exact time due to the volatility of the building storms. When we do have an update, you will hear from us.

Glenpool School buses will run the routes about 15 minutes later today to let the storms pass. Thank you.

Parents,
This morning at a Glenpool Public School campus, someone saw a person retrieve from the trunk of a car what looked like a rifle from a distance, and reported it to the proper authorities. As a precaution, schools were placed on lockdown. Glenpool Police Department checked the buildings, and were able to definitively determine the ‘rifle’ was a drill rifle (prop for band and ROTC), not an actual weapon, and that the person who retrieved it was a current student. At no time were any students in danger, nor was there ever an intruder on campus. Schools have released the lockdown.
The district will always err on the side of caution in situations like this, and I would like to acknowledge the Glenpool Police Department for their quick response and diligence in ensuring student safety at Glenpool Public Schools.

Parents,
A potential intruder was reported outside our buildings. Buildings have been locked down for the protection of students. Please do not come to school as entry into buildings will not be allowed until secured. All students are currently safe.

FOLLOW-UP TO TRAFFIC ALERT: HW 75 down to the outer lane only in both directions. Traffic is backed up - AVOID IF POSSIBLE
