Congratulations to Tamera Twist, our Elementary Teacher of the Month for December 2025. Ms. Twist is an ABLE WARRIORS teacher at the elementary. One of her colleagues writes, "She’s very easy to talk to and has always been there with a listening ear and a supportive attitude. Ms. Twist wants the best for her students."
We want to congratulate Mr. Wayne Flud, the district's Facilities Manager, on being unanimously voted the Support Employee of the Month for December 2025. One of our staff wrote, "Wayne has been a valued employee of Glenpool Public Schools for an incredible 38 years. Throughout his career, he has exemplified dedication, professionalism, and a strong commitment to our district's success. Wayne consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that everything runs smoothly. He's always lending a helping hand. His depth of experience, reliability, and positive attitude make him an outstanding role model for his colleagues. Wayne's contributions over nearly four decades have had a lasting impact on our schools, our staff, and the students we serve. Congratulations to Amber Turner, our Secondary Teacher of the Month for December 2025. Ms. Turner is the Family and Consumer Science teacher at the high school. One of her colleagues writes, "Amber puts so much time and effort into her students, continually working to make them the best that they can be. She also works hard at her school and comes up with new ideas to make learning exciting for her students. She truly dedicates her heart and soul to her job and her students."
The High School's Mask & Gavel Society presents PUFFS - a two-act play. December 18 and 19, doors open at 6:30, play starts at 7:00. Performances will be at the elementary APB.
Mrs. Brackin's class had a great time with their Gingerbread Man unit this week. They made a Gingerbread man who escaped the classroom! The students created "Missing Person Signs" to hang around the building. Fortunately, "Gingy" was found safe in the principal's office, twirling in her chair. He was happy to get back to class so he could learn!
Glenpool Schools' Winter Choir Concert is Dec 16, 7:00, at the Sports Arena. Choirs from 5th - 12th grades will perform.
It is Gingerbread time in Mrs. Roney's PK Class. They have had fun with gingerbread playdough, reading gingerbread stories, making and creating their own gingerbread person and house.

Today, Mrs. Nelson's class made butter this morning and tasted it during their lunch together in the classroom for their Thanksgiving Celebration.
GLE's annual Turkeys and Tutus (with a 6 7 twist ) is Friday, November 21st. Dress as a turkey, wear a tutu, and/or rock the "6 7" theme. A good time will be had by all!

If your family needs support to make Christmas memorable for your student(s), we encourage you to sign up immediately. Spots are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Important Sign-Up Details & Deadline
Deadline: The linked Google Form must be completed by 12:00 PM (noon) on Friday, November 14th. We will not be able to accept applications after this time.
Action Needed: Please fill out the form ASAP to secure a spot for your child(ren) before all opportunities are filled.
Program Guidelines: If you choose to participate, please adhere to the following requirements: Eligibility: Children must be currently enrolled in Glenpool Schools. Siblings of Glenpool Students who are not yet school age may also be included. One Form Per Child: A separate Google Form must be completed for each child under 18 in your household.
Confidentiality Assurance: Please be assured that the names of participating students are kept strictly confidential and are not provided to the Angel Tree Adopters. Adopters receive only the necessary age, size, and wish list information.

GLE wants to thank kindergarten teacher Mrs. Smith for her service to our country. Mrs. Smith's class created a bulletin board to honor all those who have served in the Armed Forces.
Groundbreaking took place on Tuesday for the high school's addition and renovation project - the crown jewel of the bond issue passed by our community.
Students, parents, board members, staff, city officials, and representatives from Ethos Architecture and Miller Tippens all took a special part in starting this amazing project.

It is with great honor that we recognize Amber Bain as the Glenpool Public Schools' Friend of Education for November 2025. She is a champion of public education, representing our community at the Oklahoma Department of Education in Oklahoma City on multiple occasions. GLE Big Kahuna Fundraiser items will be ready for pick-up on Tuesday, Nov. 11th, 2:00 - 5:30 from the cafeteria. Staff will be stationed at the cafeteria doors to allow parents to pick up their items without entering the building. Pick-up will pause during dismissal. Please do not park in the bus lane until after 3:00 pm.
The GLE Safe and Healthy Committee will meet on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. The committee will be reviewing the Glenpool District Wellness Policy. This meeting is open to GLE parents who are interested in reviewing the policy.
