If your student brings $1.00 On Friday, October 23rd, they will be able to "adopt a mystery animal" from our mystery grab box! This is just another fun way to get the students involved and to help raise money for our school! :)
Dear Upper Elementary Parents and Guardians,
We are excited to invite you to our upcoming "Let’s GLOW Crazy Fun Run"! This is a fantastic event for our students and a major fundraiser for our school. Below are all the key details regarding dates, times, viewing information, and early check-out procedures.
Event Details & Schedule
Date: Thursday, October 29th
Location: APB (All-Purpose Building)
Grade Level Run Times:
*4th Grade: 8:45 AM – 9:45 AM
*3rd Grade: 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
*2nd Grade: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
*1st Grade: 1:15 PM – 2:15 PM
Spectator & Viewing Information
*Parent Attendance: Parents and guardians are welcome to attend and cheer on our runners!
*Seating Area: Bleachers will be pulled out for spectators. For the safety of all participating students, spectators must remain in the bleachers during the run. Space on the main floor or inside the glow run track will not be available.
*Fundraising: Please continue to share our fundraising link with friends and family to help make our Glow Run a huge success!
Early Check-Out Procedures
If you plan to check your child out of school early following their run, please carefully review the following procedures to ensure a smooth transition:
*Notify the Teacher in Advance: If you plan to take your child home after the Glow Run, you must notify your child’s teacher ahead of time.
*Contact Verification: The teacher will pre-verify that the person picking up the student is listed as an authorized contact on Infinite Campus and will pre-fill a student checkout slip.
*Backpacks: If your child is leaving early, please instruct them to bring their backpack with them to the APB so they are ready to go after their run.
*Photo ID Required: At check-out in the APB, you must present a valid Photo ID along with the completed checkout slip provided by the teacher. (Note: Parents who do not notify teachers in advance will need to wait in line while Infinite Campus permissions are verified manually.)
Attendance Note: Please note that leaving early will count toward attendance as either a half-day absence or an early exit, depending on the time of check-out.

We are excited to celebrate Red Ribbon Week from October 26th to October 30th! This week is dedicated to encouraging healthy, drug-free lifestyles for our students.
To make the week fun and engaging, we will have themed dress-up days each day:
• Monday, Oct 26th – "Rally in Red" (Wear Red)
• Tuesday, Oct 27th – "Don't Get Mixed Up in Drugs" (Mismatched or inside-out clothes)
• Wednesday, Oct 28th – "Put Drugs to Rest" (PJ Day)
• Thursday, Oct 29th – "I'm Too Bright for Drugs" (Neon Day)
• Friday, Oct 30th – "Drugs Are Scary" (Costume Day- School appropriate)

While the district provides many digital tools to help you monitor grades and track your child's progress, technology is only a tool. Nothing is more powerful than a one-on-one conversation about your student.
Meeting face-to-face gives you the chance to share insights about your child, while giving our teachers the opportunity to share how we can best support their learning. Parent-teacher conferences have started, but there is still time for you to schedule an appointment.
I strongly encourage you to schedule an appointment with your child’s teachers. Specific dates and times are available on each school site’s calendar.

Mark your calendars and join us for Glenpool Middle School Spirit Night at Chick-fil-A Glenpool on Tuesday, September 22, from 5:00-8 :00 PM!
Grab dinner for the family while helping support GMS. A portion of qualifying purchases during the event will be donated back to our school.
You can participate by ordering Drive-Thru, Carry-Out, Dine-In, or through the Chick-fil-A App. If you order in person, be sure to mention Glenpool Middle School (GMS) when ordering so our school receives credit.
Mobile Orders: If ordering through the Chick-fil-A App, enter the code GMS2026 in the app before placing your order. The code will only be active from 5:00-8:00 PM on September 22.
And make sure to come inside for some extra fun! We will have a $1 Prize Wheel and $1 raffle tickets available throughout the evening. The raffle winner will receive 10 FREE Chick-fil-A Meal Cards! The winner will be drawn at the end of the event, and all proceeds from the Prize Wheel and raffle will benefit GMS.

Glenpool Upper Elementary will be having its annual Career Day on October 14th, and we need your help! We are looking for members of our community to speak to our students about their careers. Students participating in this Career Day will be from 1st to 4th grade. Interested in participating, or do you know someone who would be great? Fill out the form below by September 30th.
