GES 4th grade Parents and Guardians,
Due to the storms that hit the Bartlesville area Monday night, we will have a change of plans for our 4th grade field trip tomorrow, Wednesday, May 8th. We will be taking our 4th graders to spend their field trip at Bentley Park in Bixby. I know every year 4th grade looks forward to attending Wool-a-Roc and many will be disappointed in this change of destination. However, the safety of our students is our #1 priority. Many of the areas and roads our buses will travel through have had significant damage. At this time we are unsure of the safety of any alternate routes that we would need to take with buses. We have not been able to contact Wool-a-Roc to see their status for being open tomorrow. If you have questions, please reach out to Kristy Roberts, Elementary Principal, at kkroberts@glenpoolps.org
Thank you for understanding the reason behind this last-minute change of field trip plans
Kristy Roberts
Elementary Principal

10 Days to Go. Be #WarriorProud of how you finish the year.

It's been a busy end of the year at Glenpool Upper Elementary. Our 4th graders won a visit with author Raina Telgemeier from the Tulsa City-County Library! She was incredible and held the full attention of hundreds of rowdy 4th graders with her story! So thankful for this opportunity!
On Friday evening, one of our 4th graders, Ruth Letney, was chosen to speak at the Central Library and present Raina with the Ana V. Zarrow award for Young Readers Literature.
Great things are happening at GES!

The final performance is tonight. Go support our students as they present CINDERELLA

3 weeks left! Make the most of it!
Study hard, finish strong, and compete like you never have before!
You got this, Warrior Nation!

Today was an exciting day in 4th grade.... Squid Dissection! Several 4th grade classes rotated through the squid dissection lab today. If your 4th grader didn't get to go today, get ready... their time is coming!
Thank you Ms. Click and Ms. Koehn for making sure our 4th graders get to participate in this amazing learning opportunity

GES teacher, Jennifer Meyers, was chosen as one of the 13 finalists for the Cherokee Nation Teacher of the Year. She was awarded the Cherokee attribute, Patience and gifted a beautiful clock and hand woven Cherokee basket. We are so proud of Mrs. Meyers! There is no one more deserving of this recognition. She goes above and beyond everyday to meet the needs of students, ensuring they have every opportunity to achieve their potential. Congratulations Mrs. Meyers!
