It is almost time for our Run for FUNds! If you want to volunteer, please contact Katherine Reichard, our Run for FUNds volunteer coordinator, at 918-404-1445. If you don't want to volunteer and want to watch, you are welcome to sit in our designated watch area. Please bring a blanket or lawn chair if you want to sit to watch. Don't forget to send in those pledges!

Today, as part of National Fire Prevention Week, our students learned important fire safety tips. Thank you Glenpool Fire Department!

We had a special visit today by Captain Super Tooth who taught us, "Bush for 2 minutes, 2 times a day, that's the super hero way!"

As we prepare for Homecoming, we want to send you a few reminders of procedures to follow at every Glenpool home football game.
- PK-6th Grade Students: All PK-6th grade students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and remain in the stands unless visiting the restrooms or concession stand.
- Middle School and High School Students: All 7th -12th grade students must remain in the stands unless visiting the restrooms or concession stand.
- Tickets at the gate will be $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for students
- No outside food or drinks, including Yeti-type containers
- No Re-Entry: Any person exiting the stadium cannot re-enter.
Thank you for helping us have a better experience for all of our community.
The Caring Van will be at Upper Elementary on November 15th from 3 to 5 p.m. to give flu shots to students.

Please check your child's backpack on Friday. Your child's Great Pumpkin Run for FUNds information will be coming home. The 99 Pledges online platform will also go live tomorrow afternoon. We are DREAMING BIG this year and need your help to reach our goal! Thank you for sharing your students with us.

It is almost that time again!! The Glenpool Lower Elementary 6th annual Great Pumpkin Run for FUNds fundraiser is coming soon. Be watching for more information. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and profits will go directly into your students' classrooms and playgrounds.

Glenpool Homecoming is Friday, October 4, 2024. In celebration, GLE will be dressing up from Sept. 30 to October 03. Please join us for any or all of the days.

The winner of the Loose Change for Lizzy Challenge is Mrs. Roney's Preschool Class with $635.43. They earned a Puppy Party with Lizzy on the new outside fenced in area. They will celebrate with yummy treats, games and prizes for everyone, including Mrs. Roney. Way to go Mrs. Roney's class! Thank you to everyone who sent change for Lizzy. We appreciate you!

On Saturday, September 28th, Insight Eyecare will host its annual Giving Sight Day charity event at both clinic locations. This means they will provide free eye exams and complete pairs of glasses to those in need. If you know of any students who may benefit, please send them that way.
Doors will open at 8:30am, and exams are provided on a first come first serve basis.

September 19th is National Talk Like a Pirate Day. GLE will celebrate by dressing like pirates that day. Your child is invited to come to school as a pirate! We will continue the fun by hosting GLE Pirates and Parents Night from 5:30 pm -7:00 pm. Come dressed like a pirate as well and join your student in pirate games and crafts!

Look who came for a visit today! Lizzy greeted the kids as they came to school and made a visit to Mrs. Roney's PK class who have helped raise over $500 to go towards her training. Way to go Mrs. Roney's class!!!! Lizzy starts her obedience training on Monday. As of today we are at almost $2000. The class challenge ends next Friday so keep sending your loose change for Lizzy.
