Huge treats for our November Elementary Teacher of the Month, Tracy McGowen. Mrs. McGowen works in our Team Room. One of her colleagues writes, " Tracy goes above and beyond to help all of her colleagues. She always has a positive attitude and is ready to de-escalate any situation with laughter. She loves all of our students but has a special heart for our students who struggle with trauma and special needs. We could not survive without her, and she plays an integral role in ensuring that all of our students are successful, no matter what challenges they face. We are so thankful for her!"

Congratulations to our Secondary Certified Teacher of the Month for November, Danny Webb. Mr. Webb teaches 5th-grade science and social studies. A fellow teacher says, "As a new employee to GPS, Mr. Webb has been a great mentor and helper to me. Whenever I have questions about teaching, Mr. Webb is always there to help me understand. He's always sharing resources to help me understand our grade's power standards and CFA. I truly appreciate him as a colleague."

The November Edition of the Lower Elementary Times is now available.

GLE has BIG news! We just heard from our Big Kahuna Fundraising partner. They are sending us the Lego Party Limo on Friday, October 31, 2025. Students who sold 15 or more items will be celebrated with an afternoon Limo ride to Braums. Permission slips will be coming soon. Thank you so much to all who helped GLE raise money for our students.

We are so thrilled to celebrate this special week with our students, staff, and community!
Unfortunately, with the persistent rain forecasted for Friday in the Oklahoma weather, and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of all our participants, we've made the difficult but necessary decision to cancel the traditional Homecoming Parade. While we're sad to miss the parade, the safety of our students and community members is our top priority.
But don't worry—the celebration is still ON!
We are excited to announce that the Homecoming Ceremony will be moving indoors to the Sports Arena. We invite everyone to join us at 5:00 PM to see all the members of our fantastic Homecoming Court recognized and cheer as we crown this year's Homecoming King and Queen!
We look forward to an evening filled with school spirit, community pride, and a great ballgame afterward. Thank you for your understanding and continued support of our school and students!
Go Warriors!

Mrs. Reavis' preschool class had a blast making apple volcanoes! With just an apple, baking soda, and vinegar, we created bubbling eruptions that amazed the kids. The fizz and foam came from a chemical reaction between the baking soda (a base) and vinegar (an acid). This simple experiment was a fun way to mix science into our apple theme, and the students loved watching their apples “erupt”!

Congratulations to Makayla Werner, our Elementary Certified Personnel of the month for October 2025. One of her co-workers said, "Makayla has been such a valuable addition to Glenpool this year. She is so positive and knowledgeable. She has worked so diligently to already build relationships with our students with medical needs. We are lucky to have her!"

Congratulations to our October 2025 Support Personnel of the Month - Taylor Baker.
Here is what one colleague has to say: Taylor has done a phenomenal job in her new role as our movement teacher. The kids always love coming to her class. She always has fun activities for the students, and they are always engaged in fun ways!

Join us in congratulating Traci Bradley as our Secondary Certified Teacher of the Month for October 2025. One of her colleagues writes, "She handles the high school severe and profound SPED kids and staff with such dignity and grace. She meets them where they are as individuals, not just a group. She is amazing!!!"

A big shoutout to some of our amazing elementary school teachers! Instead of sleeping in on a Saturday, they spent the day at an OTEP Outreach event learning how to be even stronger mentors for new teachers.
Their leadership and dedication help make our schools a place where teachers want to stay, grow, and thrive. We’re so lucky to have them leading the way!
