Parents, Glenpool Public Schools is currently monitoring the weather situation today. If a tornado watch becomes a warning, students and staff will shelter in designated locations per our emergency management plan. If this occurs, parent pickup will not be possible until the warning is canceled.

The Turkey Challenge has been a Glenpool tradition since 1989. Glenpool students collect food items and money to help make sure everyone in our community has a Thanksgiving meal. Please support our students in this project to give to their community! • Begins on Monday, November 4th • Ends on Friday, November 15th • Pre-K through 12th grades will participate • Points awarded for food items & money • Donations turned into students' 2nd hour classroom teacher Requested items Canned Vegetables: Corn-whole & creamed Green beans-all kinds Spinach Mixed Vegetables Peas and beans-all kinds Carrots Potatoes Other Canned Goods: Tomatoes-all kinds Fruits-all kinds Soups-all kinds Juices-all kinds Pasta-Spaghetti-o's, etc Meats-tuna, spam, Vienna sausage Boxed Items: Jell-O & pudding mixes Potatoes-all kind Protein Bars Pasta mixes-all kinds Dinners-Hamburger/Tuna helper, etc Muffin/pancake/biscuit mixes Granola bars Breakfast bars Individual Mac & Cheese Oatmeal packages Jerky Thanksgiving Boxes Include: Canned Pumpkin Evaporated milk canned sweet potatoes/yams canned cranberries Stuffing bags/boxes Desserts- cake, pie mix, frosting pie fillings Mac n Cheese Cereal Pancake mix, biscuits Instant potatoes Turkey gravy Cream of mushroom soup Fried onions Green beans Corn Miscellaneous Items: Baby food, Kool-Aid & hot chocolate, dried beans, rice, pasta, noodle soups Monetary donations can also be sent with students. Fundraiser Goal: $2000.00 We are currently at $1245.00 (Updated at 9:53am on 10/30) If we reach our goal, Mr. Wise will camp on the roof of the school Halloween night and pass out candy from 8:00-9:00PM! MONEY IS DUE TO MRS. SHINN BY Thursday, OCTOBER 31st! GMS Counselors, D.A.R.E Team, and the HOPE Squad are partnering to sponsor the Red Ribbon Week, “Scare Away Bad Behavior Walk-a-thon” Thursday, October 31st. The walk will show Glenpool Middle School’s continued pledge to help stop bullying in our school and community and the “Warrior Way” of being Drug-free! Students will be allowed to dress up in school appropriate Halloween costumes on Thursday, October 31st. We will have an inflatable obstacle course, carnival games, 9 Square, Volleyball, Tetherball, and concessions for sale. It is the best event of the school year!!!! The money raised will be used to for the following: Student Initiative Rewards Roller Skating Pizza Parties Trivia Rewards Popsicles Ice Cream Cups School Dance End of Year Celebration Inflatables Laser Tag Thank you for your generosity and support!

The second annual Softball/Baseball Halloween game is tonight at 7:30. The players will be in costumes & pass out candy on the field before the game to kids who show up in costume. There will be male and female home run derbies , and we will sell pizza and drinks from Mazzio‘s.

Fall Break is Thursday through Monday, October 17 through 21. Classes resume on Tuesday. This is not a distance learning time, so enjoy your time off and long weekend. Schools are closed, the main office will be open Thursday and Monday, but closed Friday the 18th.

As we prepare for Homecoming, we want to send you a few reminders of procedures to follow at every Glenpool home football game. - PK-6th Grade Students: All PK-6th grade students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and remain in the stands unless visiting the restrooms or concession stand. - Middle School and High School Students: All 7th -12th grade students must remain in the stands unless visiting the restrooms or concession stand. - Tickets at the gate will be $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for students - No outside food or drinks, including Yeti-type containers - No Re-Entry: Any person exiting the stadium cannot re-enter. ​ ​Thank you for helping us have a better experience for all of our community.

On Saturday, September 28th, Insight Eyecare will host its annual Giving Sight Day charity event at both clinic locations. This means they will provide free eye exams and complete pairs of glasses to those in need. If you know of any students who may benefit, please send them that way. Doors will open at 8:30am, and exams are provided on a first come first serve basis.
