The Caring Van will be at the Upper Elementary parking lot on November 15th from 3-5 pm to give students flu shots. These are free for children 18 and under.

The second annual Softball/Baseball Halloween game is tonight at 7:30. The players will be in costumes & pass out candy on the field before the game to kids who show up in costume. There will be male and female home run derbies , and we will sell pizza and drinks from Mazzio‘s.

Red Ribbon Week is the oldest and largest annual drug prevention awareness program in America! This year's theme is "Life is a Movie Filmed Drug Free"! We look forward to seeing GMS students participate in all the activities we have planned for the week!

Dear Students/Donors, GMS Counselors, D.A.R.E Team, and the HOPE Squad are partnering to sponsor the Red Ribbon Week, “Scare Away Bad Behavior Walk-a-thon” Thursday, October 31st. The walk will show Glenpool Middle School’s continued pledge to help stop bullying in our school and community and the “Warrior Way” of being Drug-free! Students will be allowed to dress up in school appropriate Halloween costumes on Thursday, October 31st. Students will walk on the designated route outside. Students are asked to raise $5 minimum to participate in the walk-a-thon. Donations may be made by parents, guardians, or family friends. Students have received donation sheets and envelopes. Last year this fundraiser raised $1750.00. Our fundraising goal this year is $2000.00. The money raised will be used to for the following: Student Initiative Rewards Roller Skating Pizza Parties Trivia Rewards Popsicles Ice Cream Cups School Dance End of Year Celebration Inflatables Laser Tag Collect money at the time of the pledge. Turn in money to Mrs. Shinn to be receipted. MONEY IS DUE TO MRS. SHINN BY Thursday, OCTOBER 31st! **Students who do not attend the Walk-A-Thon will stay inside and play board games or participate in Drop Everything and Read. Fall Break is Thursday through Monday, October 17 through 21. Classes resume on Tuesday. This is not a distance learning time, so enjoy your time off and long weekend. Schools are closed, the main office will be open Thursday and Monday, but closed Friday the 18th.

Help us recognize Darla Kilgore as our support person of the month. Ms. Kilgore works in Child Nutrition and is a vital member of the team that feeds our students.

Congratulations to our elementary certified person of the month, Rachel Calvert. Mrs. Calvert is a counselor at our Upper Elementary.

As we prepare for Homecoming, we want to send you a few reminders of procedures to follow at every Glenpool home football game. - PK-6th Grade Students: All PK-6th grade students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and remain in the stands unless visiting the restrooms or concession stand. - Middle School and High School Students: All 7th -12th grade students must remain in the stands unless visiting the restrooms or concession stand. - Tickets at the gate will be $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for students - No outside food or drinks, including Yeti-type containers - No Re-Entry: Any person exiting the stadium cannot re-enter. ​ ​Thank you for helping us have a better experience for all of our community.

On Saturday, September 28th, Insight Eyecare will host its annual Giving Sight Day charity event at both clinic locations. This means they will provide free eye exams and complete pairs of glasses to those in need. If you know of any students who may benefit, please send them that way. Doors will open at 8:30am, and exams are provided on a first come first serve basis.

Congratulations to Glenpool Schools' Support Employee of the Month - Katie Hilburn! Mrs. Hilburn works in the Enrollment and Student Information Office. She helps resolve issues and audits our enrollment as well as many other duties. Way to go, Mrs. Hilburn!

Let's hear it for our Secondary Teacher of the Month, Jen Lee! Ms. Lee teaches math at the Middle School, and she sponsors the MS cheerleaders as well. Great job, Coach Lee!

Glenpool Schools would like to honor our Elementary Teacher of the Month for September... Mrs. Kelsey Deerinwater Mrs. Deerinwater teaches 1st grade and has done an incredible job with her young readers and thinkers!

We are excited to see our GMS Parents & Guardians tomorrow night for Parent Night: Partnering for Success! This event is from 4-7pm. Please enter through the east doors of the Middle School Gym. If you can't make it by 4, try to be there by 5pm to hear about student expectations and fun initiatives from Mr. Wise. Then at 5:35, you will begin navigating your students daily schedule to hear each teacher's expectations and the fun activities they have planned for the school year. Throughout the evening we will be giving away Warrior gear donated by Glenpool Football Booster Club and Glenpool Athletics. Lastly, the grade with the most participation, will win recess everyday next week! See you all tomorrow!!
