Parents of students in extended day:
With the increase in snowfall and the worsening of road conditions, we are asking parents to pick students up as early as possible from extended day. Our goal is to try to get as many of our employees on the road home by 5:00.
This year Upper Elementary participated in the angel adoption with BancFirst. Student Council gathered and decided to reach out to staff members about adopting angels from the Glenwood Retirement Center. The Upper Elementary picked 40 angels from the tree that is located at BancFirst!
Teachers and faculty adopted these angels and fulfilled their wish lists with the help from their own families and/or their classroom families.
Thank you to staff and the community for helping in making 40 residents of our local retirement center feel extra special this holiday season!

Freckles Friday at Upper Elementary will be December 13th.
We have our first OkMEA All-State band member in quite a few years so he deserves some recognition! Raul Peña made 6th chair trumpet in the top OkMEA All-State band, the Wind Symphony.
This is out of all schools in Oklahoma, and we are super proud of him for that!

Upper Elementary Families,
One of the most exciting times in an elementary school starts on Monday. The days and weeks leading up to Christmas/Winter break are full of energy, excitement, and memories. Thursday, Dec 5th we will start our 12 days of Christmas dress-up day countdown. We try to keep the days simple enough that most have the things needed in their closets already. Please remember that participation in dress-up days are always optional.
Parents with students in UE and LE- Upper Elem dress days match the Lower days except for Dec 11 & 18.
