Mrs. Smothers is our District Registrar, and she plays a crucial role in enrolling all our students. She has been part of the school district for many years and is a valued member of our community. We are very proud to have her and to work alongside her.

From colleagues: "LeAnn is ready to help anyone who may need it, especially if things need to be done quickly! She works so hard and really works to get the older students to attack challenges with deeper level thinking." "Leann is someone you can count on. She is flexible, helps in any way possible, and she creates a safe and fun learning environment for the kids in STEM. "

Glenpool Upper Elementary is so excited to host its first Warrior POWER Night!
What: Warrior POWER Nights provides students and their families a place to practice
important skills such as perseverance, ingenuity, curiosity, and resilience. This Warrior Power
Night will be reserved for 3rd and 4th grade students and a parent/guardian. Due to the
structure of this event, we must limit attendance to only your student and one adult. This
event includes a lot of small pieces and for safety reasons is designed for students 8 years
and older. Space for this event will be limited to the first 15 3rd grade students and their adult
and the first 15 4th grade students and their adult to sign up.
When: Tuesday, February 17th
Time: 6:00-7:15 p.m.
We are hoping for a great turnout so we can offer multiple Warrior Power Nights each year. If
you are unable to get a spot in this first Warrior POWER Night, we would be glad to add you
on to a waiting list for the next Warrior POWER Night.

Glenpool Schools will be back in session on Friday, January 30, 2026.
Our maintenance crews have been preparing surfaces each day for our return. Campus roads and walkways are currently in good shape, but with temperatures dropping back below freezing, there may be trouble areas, so we are urging all to be cautious as you bring students to school.
Buses will operate on their regular routes, but there may be slight delays. We are taking extra precautions, and we urge you to communicate to students to be extra careful at bus stops.
We are very excited to be back in session!!

Superintendent

We ARE in session today -- normal hours, normal schedules, normal buses. (Friday, Jan 23, 2026)

As we head into the winter season, we want to ensure that our students’ learning remains consistent, even when the weather doesn't cooperate. To stay prepared for potential distance learning days for inclement weather, we are sending home Winter Weather Distance Learning Packets. Packets will come home with your student either today or tomorrow (Wednesday or Thursday). Winter Weather Distance Learning Packets are designed to keep our students engaged and learning from the safety of their homes if we are unable to meet in person and the district decides to move to distance learning for the day.
How it Works
Each student (Grades 1–4) will receive a packet containing 5 days of academic work. Teachers will add more days to the packet if needed through out the winter weather season. Please follow these guidelines to ensure your child is ready should a weather event cause us to move to distance learning:
* Please keep this packet in your child’s backpack. You will only need to take it out if there is a distance learning day due to inclement weather.
*A decision to move to distance learning will be made by the district office and communicated through social media, the district website, local television stations, and by sending out a notification through the school app.
*Your child will only complete a distance learning day from their packet if distance learning is called by the district.
* Attendance Matters: To be counted as "Present" for the distance learning day, students must return the completed assignments to their teacher when school resumes. Attendance will not be updated until we return from any winter weather event.
A Special Incentive
We hope for clear skies, but we want to reward those who stay prepared! If we do not use all of the days, any student who returns their unused packet pages (in clean, usable condition) just before Spring Break will receive a special prize for their responsibility and care. Keep these packets in backpacks, we may not need all of them for this round of weather, but may need them if another round of winter weather occurs.
Our goal is to make these transitions as smooth as possible for your family. If you have any questions regarding the assignments, please feel free to reach out to your child’s teacher.
Stay warm and stay safe!
Warm regards,
Kristy Roberts
