Parents,
District leaders are continuing to monitor the weather forecast for this afternoon and I want to reassure you that all sites have safety plans in the event of severe weather.
Since school is in session, we will not be releasing buses early. There is too much concern with having young children at home with no adult present. Parents who would prefer to pick their students up early are welcome to do so at any time this afternoon.
Depending on the conditions at dismissal, bus routes could be delayed to ensure that students remain safe until severe weather conditions pass. This may result in bus routes being delayed. We will communicate any delays to you should they occur.
We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we navigate a stormy day in May.
Respectfully,
Curtis Layton
Superintendent of Schools
